After booking a 'mountain view' room, I was surprised when we were shown to a room that overlooked a hill, some houses and a 'castle'. I was expecting a view of the mountain - the volcano.
This can actually be booked under a 'city view' room. A few minutes after looking around the room and seeing the disgraceful standard of the bathroom I returned to recepetion to ask about prices of the actual mountain view rooms. I was told that they were all sold out. This struck me as odd, considering on their own website, as well as two other booking websites I noticed there was plenty of availability.
There were also very few people in the hotel - the night we dined in the restaurant we were the only table. So we stayed in our filthy room, with the terrible air-conditioning.
The food in the restaurant was better than i expected for dinner, though breakfast was terrible. We stuck with juice.
The coffee, cake and beers served at the lobby cafe were in fact ok. I was overcharged in the spa for a massage. The pool In reality, it was not an 'infinity pool', as the water level was too low and the area where the water should have cascaded was filled with dirt. There was a large pile of used towels, though no supply of fresh.
