I hope every deer hunter gets to experience in their hunting career what it's like to find a good one, chase it hard, have it not work out many times, all for it to happen when you least expect it and when it's most needed.
We've taken larger deer and I'm hoping we will continue to for years to come but I'll never live by a tape measure when it comes to chasing whitetails, give me a mature deer supporting a beautiful set of antlers and a hard hunt every fall, that to me is what we're in it for here at Alberta Dark Horn.
Looking to unplug and enjoy a Canadian winter adventure? The timber wolf is without a doubt the toughest species on anyones bucket list to obtain. That being said our hunts are conducted over heavily baited sites with well placed stand locations.
Pictured here is a client of mine Brad, on this hunt he took his wolf on day 3 after seeing a pack of six on day 2 and getting a crack off and missing a big black wolf on day 1. Luck was definitely key for him because this wolf was 1 out of the pack of six making his total 13 sightings in 3 days!
When you can see a frame at well over yards, you're looking at a real one. Another classic case of what our area has to offer.
